A grateful moment

Steady drops of rain tapped on the metal porch roof throughout the day as gusts of wind rustled through the sweetgum trees, shaking loose the few yellow leaves still clinging to the nearly bare branches. The tranquil rhythmic sounds of wind and rain were nearly impossible to resist. When Gavin settled down for a long afternoon nap, so did I. And it was sweet.

So much to be thankful for in just the moment. Rain to nourish. A baby to kiss. A comfortable, dry house. Time to rest.

Amazing Love
